Grass Cut Requirements
Curb appeal is essential! Ensure that all clippings are removed from sidewalks, driveways, and lawns. Weeds are to be trimmed from fence lines, foundation of the home, driveways, and flower beds without damaging the existing plants or flowers. In addition, weeds found in driveway/sidewalk/walkway cracks must be sprayed with weed killer.
Shrubs must be trimmed and all clippings removed. Edging must be done on all lawns maintained on each grass cut. This includes fence lines, foundations, driveways, walkways and sidewalks.
Grass must be cut by the due date. In order to ensure this happens, all contractors must maintain a grass cut list A list of properties where the grass must be cut on a regular interval. This list is maintained by the contractor. (GCL)regardless of open order status. Grass must be cut when crews are at the property. It is not acceptable to leave a property without performing the required grass cut. If there is a sprinkler system, please contact the Broker to determine if the system should be maintained and running. Submit any necessary bids to accomplish this task Work that has been completed on a particular order..
Photo and Update Documentation
Before and after photos of the front, rear and side of yards are required. At least 1 during photo is also required for completed grass cuts.
Photos of the fence lines, driveway, and sidewalks are required. Before and after photos of the shrub trimming are required. Duplicate photo submission of grass cuts (including location and condition photos) will not be tolerated and should it occur, will result in immediate termination of work.
Report Completed Grass Cuts on FHA Loans
The
first question you will be asked is whether or not the grass cut was completed.
Select “Yes” from the drop down box.
If you
answer “Yes” that the grass cut was completed, choose what work was completed
from the drop down box.
A header
will be created which will allow you to enter details for the yard maintenance
bid.
Enter
the details of the grass cut that was completed.
Add supporting media for the bid by clicking and dragging the appropriate media from the Media Gallery at the bottom of the page into the corresponding Media Needed box.
Report Completed Grass Cuts on non-FHA Loans
In an attempt to quickly expedite the reporting of yard maintenance on non-FHA loan types, Safeguard has significantly shortened the process by which non-FHA grass cuts are reported through the SafeView - Preserve program. The steps below outline the new process which takes affect April 1st, 2009.
Ensure
you are in the General Property Information section of the screen.
Select
the appropriate Occupancy Status from the drop down box.
Type
in the completed date of the grass cut, or select it by clicking on the
calendar icon.
Ensure
you are in the Non-Work Order Specific Information Section of the page.
Choose
if there is any debris at the property by selecting “Yes” or “No” from
the drop down box.
NOTE: In the event that new debris is discovered at the property, you may have to inform Safeguard of this by manually adding a comment to your update. |
Choose
if there are any citations or violations at the property by selecting
“Yes” or “No” from the drop down box.
Add
location photos by dragging and dropping the photos from the media gallery
to the corresponding media labels.
Place Yard Maintenance Bid
The yard Maintenance bid section will allow you to place bids for many different types of yard work including grass cuts, bush hogging, shrub trimming and snow removal.
Ensure
you are in the Yard Maintenance - Bids section of the screen.
Select
the appropriate bid from the Add New Bid drop down box.
A header
will be created which will allow you to enter details for the yard maintenance
bid.
Enter
the details of the grass cut that was completed.
Add
supporting media for the bid by clicking and dragging the appropriate
media from the Media Gallery at the bottom of the page into the corresponding
Media Needed box.
Repeat all steps for each subsequent yard maintenance bid.
